It’s not just white metal, it’s a Brooklin !

PHASE 1: RESEARCH

Once we have sourced the real version of a car it’s photographed and measured, and then the measurements are scaled down to the 1:43 size we need. Our models are hand built involving a labour intensive process from beginning to end.

PHASE 2: MASTERS

With the reference work complete, the many months of development and then production will begin. Brass masters are painstakingly made for all the parts needed, in fact the Brass Masters are made using the same skills and tools as would a jeweller.

PHASE 3: PRODUCTION

Multiple production moulds are made in rubber for the small parts and bodies. They are each cast in white metal and individually cleaned of imperfections by fettling and sanding. The small brightwork is sent for nickel plating.

PHASE 4: ASSEMBLE

The bodies are painted with automotive quality paint, window patterns are produced ready to be vacuum formed. Car seats, dashboards etc are assembled and plating is applied so the cars are ready for full assembly, final checks and boxing.
